Method
  1. Fry urad dhal in a pan with no oil.
  2. In one teaspoon of oil fry chilies, onion, garlic, ginger and curry leaves.
  3. Later to this, add cut capsicum pieces and fry till it becomes soft and keep it aside.
  4. In a mixie, grind these first - coriander bunch, amchur powder, salt.
  5. Then add all the fried ingredients.
  6. Finally add roasted gram and grind it, add very little water if needed.
  7. Then seasoning with mustard seeds can be given to this tasty and nutritious chutney.

Note:
Roasted gram is Puttani dhal in Hindi, pottukadalai in Tamil, senagapappu in Telugu.

Ingredients:
bell pepper (capsicum) - 1, medium sized
urad dhal - 1 tbsp
red chilly - 4
onion - 1, medium sized
garlic - 2, flakes
curry leaves - 4 to 5 strands
coriander leaves - 1 bunch
amchur powder - 1 tbsp
roasted gram - 1/4 cup
