Method

  1. Fry Red chillies, Chanadal, Uraddal and Asafoetida until they become light red.

  2. Powder them and keep them aside.

  3. Now add Dry Coconut powder, salt, Cilantro and Tamarind and mix well (preferably in Mixie) with all the ingredients.

  4. Put one spoon oil in the Pan and add 1 tablespoon of mustard seeds and then fry the whole thing for 2 minutes on low fire.

  5. Remove from fire, cool it and store it in a Air-tight container.

Chutney Powder is ready. Goes well with Rice and Chapathis.

Ingredients:
Red Chillies According to your taste
Chanadal One Cup
Urad dal One Cup
Dry Coconut Powder 1 1/2 Cup or 1/4 of the coconut
Cilantro One bunch
Tamarind 2-3 tsps.
Hing or Asafoetida 1 tsps
Salt As required
Oil 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
