Kovakaai (Ivy Gourd) Curry

Method
  1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add the onion and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and tomatoes and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Chop the ivy gourd into thin long slices and add it.
  4. Now add all the masala and garnish with coriander leaves.
Ingredients:
1/2 kg - kovaikaai (tindora)
1 cup - finely chopped onion
1/2 cup - finely chopped tomato
1 tsp - finely chopped garlic
1 tbsp - finely chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp - chilli powder
a pinch of asafoetida
a pinch of turmeric
salt to taste
1 tbsp - oil
