Method
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker or any vessel and fry onions till pink.
- Add the cumin and cinnamon - fry for 1 min.
- Add the powder spices and fry well - add very little water if required to avoid burning at the base.
- Add the tomatoes and cook till mildly soft.
- Add the cabbage and yam and stir fry for 2 whole minutes.
- Add salt to taste and 1/4 cup water.
- Pressure cook upto 1 whistle or cook till the yam is soft and done.
