Method
  1. Fry small pakodis of moong dal (with salt). Drain.

  2. Heat oil. Add all of the above except dal, yogurt and salt.

  3. Mix dal salt and yogurt. Add water as per the consistency desired, it can range from 6 to 10 cups or more.

  4. Add the above to yogurt. Let simmer on medium low heat for atleast an hour.

  5. Serve piping hot with ghee.

Ingredients:
2 cups Moong Dal (soaked overnight and finely ground)
1 1/2 cup Yogurt
Oil
Mustard seeds
Methi seeds
Turmeric
Bay leaf
Asafoetida (hing)
Salt (to taste)
Whole Red Chillies
