Cut raw plantains and potato into pieces and boil till they are soft. Mash them together
to smoothness. Add all the ingredients listed above for kofta and mix them well. Make
round balls with the mixture.
Mix 1 tsp all purpose flour(maida), 1/2 teaspoon rice flour(optional, added for extra
crispiness) and salt with water to make a thin paste for coating the koftas.
Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan or Kadai. Dip the koftas in the above mix and fry till
golden brown. Koftas are ready.
Make a paste of 1 big size onion, 2-3 cloves of garlic, 1 peeled and chopped ginger and
2 green chillies.
Heat 3 tsp of the remaining oil in the kadhai. Add 2 Bay leaves, 1-2 coarsely crushed
cardamom and 1 cinnamon stick.
When they start to splutter add the above paste and fry on medium heat. Add one finely

Add 2 cups of warm water, salt (according to taste), little sugar and boil for 4-5 mins.
Add koftas and cook covered on low flame for one min.
Add 1 teaspoon of ghee and garam masala powder and remove from heat.
Keep covered until you serve with hot chapattis or steamed rice.
