Method
  1. Wash the dal and soak it in sufficient water for an hour.
  2. Cook the dal in a heavy bottomed vessel in half glass of water with salt and turmeric powder.
  3. Cook on a low flame mixing at regular intervals.
  4. Cook till the dal is tender and the water in it completely dried.
  5. Remove in a plate and let it cool completely.
  6. Add cornflour, green chillies, coriander leaves and garlic. Mix well.
  7. Divide the mixture into equal portions.
  8. Shape each portion like a kebab.
  9. Deep fry in hot oil till golden.
  10. Serve hot with green chutney.
Ingredients:
200 g cups - yellow moong dal
5 to 6 tbsp - cornflour
handful - coriander leaves (finely chopped)
6 - green chillies (finely chopped)
10 cloves - garlic ( finely crushed)
� tsp - turmeric powder
salt to taste
� to 3/4 glass - water (to cook the dal)
oil for deep frying.
