Apple crumble

Method
  1. Peel and cube the apples and put into a saucepan with the lemon juice, 50 gms. of sugar, cinnamon and 100 ml. of water.
  2. Cover and cook for 15 mins (or 5 mins. in a microwave).
  3. Sift the flour into the processor bowl with the baking powder, 60 gms. of sugar, the butter cut into pieces and 1 tbsp. of cold water, and mix in short bursts on speed 10 using a smooth mixture.
  4. Preheat the oven at 220 deg C.
  5. Pour off the cooking juice from the apples and put apples in an oven dish.
  6. Add raspberries on top, cover with crumble mixture.
  7. Bake for 30 mins. until the crumble is golden brown.
  8. Apple crumble can be served warm or cold with a little fresh cream.
  9. It is also delicious served the next day.

900 gms. delicious apples
100 gms. sugar
1 pinch ground cinnamon (optional)
2 tbsps. lemon juice
100 gms. flour
50 gms. softened butter
1 tsp. baking powder
150 gms. raspberries
