China Grass Pudding with Nuts
Method
- Dissolve china grass in 1/2 cup water over a slow fire.
- Also dissolve sugar in milk over a slow fire.
- Put in china grass, bring to a boil and remove from fire.
- Cool, mix in nuts, essence and cream.
- Put the mixture in individual glass ice cream cups.
- Mix in different cups a few drops of different food colours.
- Set in a cool place or in the fridge to turn firm.
- Decorate each cup with a whole cherry and serve at once.
Ingredients:
4 cups - milk
4 tsps - finely sliced china grass
5 tbsps - sugar
4 tbsps - cream
a few drops essence of your choice
4 tbsps - finely sliced mixed nuts
a few whole candied cherries
a few drops each of various food colours
