Mango Lassi

  1. Go for ripe and sweet mangoes. It helps to avoid adding sweeteners to the recipe.
  2. Peel and remove the pulp of mangoes.
  3. Make sure not to spill the juice.
  4. Add it to the processor.
  5. Process it until smooth.
  6. Now add the thick yogurt.
  7. Do not add water if you want it to look like a smoothie.
  8. Process it together until well blended.
  9. If the mangoes are not sweet enough and too thick, add sugar/honey and water.
  10. Blend it once again - quick pulses should do.
  11. Pour into glasses and enjoy.
  12. Can be refrigerated for a few hours and served chill.
  13. Top with some mango puree, if required.


1-1/2 to 2 cups mango pulp (requires about 3-4 large ripe sweet mangoes)
1 cup thick yogurt (low fat/vanilla flavoured also works)
Honey/sugar to taste (optional)
1/4 cup water (if needed for consistency)
A pinch of cardamom powder (optional)
