Grind rice little nicely and fry it in a tsp of ghee till it is hot.
Similarly, fry the cashew, cardamom, raisins in the ghee and keep aside.
Take the milk and add the powdered rice and steam in cooker. Wait for 4 or 5 whistles and keep it sim for 30 mts. If you keep it for long time, the milk color will change into light orange and without adding condensed milk, you can get that smell. (It all depends on your patience). If you want, once the cooker cools down, heat the milk directly for some more time. Add sugar and wait till it dissolves completely. Let it boil for some more time. Finally, add the cashew, raisins and cardamom. Keep aside.
