  1. In a non stick bowl, add the milk and start boiling till it reduces a bit
  2. Grind the soaked rice to a coarse paste
  3. Add this paste to the milk and stir on sim flame till the rice gets cooked
  4. Add the sugar and the saffron if you are using
  5. Cook till the sugar gets dissolved, garnish with cardamom powder
  6. Pour these into small earthen matkas, garnish with pistachios
  7. Refrigerate and serve cool
Full cream milk - 500 ml
Rice soaked in water - 4 tbps
Cardamom powder - for taste
Saffron (optional) - 1 pinch
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Blanched and chopped pistachios for garnishing
