Jeera Phakala (Jeera Rice)

Method
  1. Heat oil or ghee in a kadai.
  2. Add black cumin. When it splutters, add chili and curry leaves. Fry for few seconds.
  3. Lower the heat and add rice and salt. Mix gently.
  4. Sprinkle a handful of water and Keep covered on low flame for 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.

Serves: 3-4

Ingredients:
cooked rice - 4 cups
oil or ghee - 3 tbsp
black cumin (sai jeera) - 1 1/2 tsp
dried red chili - 2, broken into pieces
curry leaves - few
salt to taste
