Method- Remove the edges from 6 bread slices; place in a bowl.
- Add adequate milk and make a dough.
- Roll them into balls by gently rolling each portion between your palms into a smooth ball.
- The balls must be fried very slowly under medium temperature.
- This will ensure complete cooking from inside and even browning.
- The syrup should be made earlier and kept warm.
- To make hot sugar syrup mix the 2 cups of sugar to 1 cup of water and boil.
- Add cardamom to enhance the flavour.
- Now add the balls into the syrup and allow it soak for a few hours.
- Bread jamun is ready to serve either hot or cold.
Note: If the batter becomes too sticky, add rice flour to get the right consistency.
