Method
  1. Heat oil in a kadai.
  2. Add the mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
  3. Add the Bengal gram dhal, dry chilli and asafetida.
  4. Now add the vermicelli and roast till it is golden brown.
  5. Add 2 cups of water and add salt and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with tomato chutney or mint chutney.
Ingredients:
1 packet - semiya or vermicelli
1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
1 tsp - bengal gram dal
4 - dry chillies
A pinch of asafoetida
1 tbsp - oil
Salt to taste
