Kesariya biryani

Method
  1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add pounded spices. Brown.
  3. Add cummin seeds.
  4. Add all vegetables. Stir fry.
  5. Add rice and saffron mixed with milk. Add chilli powder and 4 cups hot water.
  6. Cook under pressure for 7 mins.
  7. The rice should be fluffy and vegetables cooked. Serve with dal.
Ingredients:
1&1/2 cups basmati rice, soaked in water for 2 hours, drained
8 cloves, pounded
4 pieces cinnamon, pounded
4 cardamoms, pounded
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp. saffron
1 tsp. cummin seeds
1 tsp. chilli powder
100 gms. cauliflower, chopped
100 gms. peas
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 cup coriander leaves, chopped
1/2 cup ghee
Salt to taste
