Sweet Dosa

  1. Beat jaggery into a fine powder.
  2. Add half a cup of water and filter out the dirt.
  3. Mix rice flour with 2 cups of water to form into a dosa batter.
  4. Add powdered jaggery and cardamom powder, mix well into dosa consistency ensuring that there are no jaggery lumps.
  5. Keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Place a pan on heat, rub one teaspoon oil all over the pan.
  7. Spread batter in the form of dosa.
  8. Allow to cook into brown colour on both sides adding oil as required.
  9. This is a speciality of Karnataka.
  10. Sweet dosa is prepared especially on Saraswati Pooja Day during Dussehra.
100g - rice flour
100g - jaggery, powdered
2 cups - water
Oil for shallow fry
2 tsp - cardamom powder
