  1. Dry roast the oats for a minute or two.
  2. Dry roast the mixed nuts all together in a kadai and keep aside.
  3. In a blender, grind the oats to a fine powder and keep aside.
  4. Similarly grind the nuts to a fine powder and keep aside.
  5. Grind the dates and raisins till the dates are mushy.
  6. Add the oat flour and nut powder to this along with cardamom seed powder and blend until all the ingredients are blended well.
  7. It looks a little like thick and sticky breadcrumbs. If using ghee add at this point and blend one more time.
  8. You know it is done when you place a little of this mixture on your palm and make a fist, the mixture should bind and hold together.
  9. Roll into little balls and store in an air tight container.
  10. If using a blender then the best way to proceed is to powder each of dry ingredients separately and place each in a large bowl.
  11. Lastly grind the raisins+dates and add the crushed/ground dates to the rest and knead with your hand until the mixture starts to come together.
