Haloumi Salad

Method
  1. Wash all the vegetables thoroughly.
  2. Chop tomatoes and cucumber into medium-sized pieces. Place in a glass bowl.
  3. Tear lettuce leaves into pieces with hands and add to the bowl.
  4. Add walnuts.
  5. Cut halloumi cheese into small pieces.
  6. Heat oil in a pan.
  7. Add red chilli powder and herbs; add halloumi immediately.
  8. Saute for 3-4 mins and add this to the bowl. Add lemon juice.
  9. Mix everything well with a wooden spoon.
  10. Do not add salt as haloumi cheese is quite salty.
  11. You can replace haloumi with paneer, but then add some salt.

Ingredients:
1 small bunch of iceberg lettuce
10 leaves of Romane lettuce
1 cucumber
1 medium sized tomato
1 packet of low fat haloumi cheese
1 tbsp walnuts
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp crushed plack pepper
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp Italian herbs
