Methi Chapathi

  1. Wash 1 cup of methi leaves and chop into small pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix wheat flour, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chopped methi leaves and salt with required water.
  3. Make a smooth dough by adding 1 tea spoon of oil. The dough need not be very tight.
  4. Close and keep aside for at least half an hour.
  5. For making dal, fry green chillies, onion, cumin and tomato with a little oil.
  6. Wash the dal, add fried ingredients, turmeric powder and cook completely till dal becomes smooth.
  7. Add required salt and mash well.
  8. Temper mustard, dry chillies and curry leaves in 1 teaspoon of oil.
  9. And add it the cooked dal and it is ready to serve.
  10. Divide the dough into small balls, make chapatti and cook on a hot tawa with a little oil.
  11. Serve hot chapattis with dal.

For chapatti:
2 cups - whole wheat flour
1 cup - methi leaves
1 tsp - garam masala powder
1 tsp - ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
Salt as required
50g - refined oil

For dal:
100g - moong dal
2 tbsp - channa dal
100g - onion
100g - tomato
4 or 5 - green chillies
Turmeric powder, 1 pinch
1 tsp - cumin
Salt as required

For seasoning:
1 tbsp - oil
1 tsp - mustard
2 - dry chillies
Curry leaves
