Method
  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add chopped onion.
  3. When the onions turn brown, add the tomato puree and ginger garlic paste.
  4. Mix well; when it is done, add the spices, salt and moong dal.
  5. Add 1 cup of water, cover and cook the dal.
  6. When the dal is cooked, add the fenugreek leaves.
  7. Cover and cook for 5 min.
  8. It should be semi liquid.
  9. Enjoy with rice or roti.
Ingredients:
250g - yellow moong dal
250g - fenugreek leaves
1 - onion
1 cup - tomato puree
1 tbsp - ginger garlic paste
Salt as per taste
1 tsp - turmeric powder
1 tsp - red chillipowder
1 tsp - coriander powder
Oil for cooking
