Method
- Dry roast moong dal for a few mins till nice aroma comes.
- Pressure cook dal with 1/4 cup of water till mushy and keep aside.
- In a kadai, heat oil, add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom and saute well.
- Add chilli, garlic and onion and keep sauteing till onions are fried well.
- Now add tomato and fry for 2 mins, add turmeric and chilli powder.
- Add mashed moong dal and 1/2 cup water.
- Leave it to boil for 5 mins.
- Switch off and squeeze lemon while serving!
