Method
  1. Chop all leafy vegetables coarsely.
  2. Chop the potatoes and onions finely.
  3. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and lightly fry the garlic.
  4. Add methi and fry for one minute. Add all the vegetables and other ingredients.
  5. Add salt and enough water and cook till dal is tender.
  6. Open cooker when cool and mash all vegetables with beater to form a kind of thick paste.
  7. Serve with rice and papad.
Ingredients:
2 bunches of spinach
4-5 cloves of garlic
1 bunch khatti palak
2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, brinjals, gavar etc.)
3-4 green chillies
2 onions
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
2 tbsps. chopped methi
1 large potato
1/2 cup chana dal (soaked for 1 hour)
1 tsp. ginger paste
1&1/2 tsp. coriander leaves
Salt to taste
