Bhindi masala

Method
  1. Wash and cut ladies finger into 1 inch size.
  2. Chop onions, tomatoes.
  3. Make ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds powder and keep other ingredients ready.
  4. Heat oil in a pan/kadai, splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger-garlic paste, besan flour, onions and fry them well.
  5. Now add tomatoes and mix well.
  6. Add red chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds powder, salt and asafoetida.
  7. Finally add okra and mix them well.
  8. Fry for some 10 minutes.
  9. Bindi masala is ready to be served.
  10. It can be served along with rice.

1/4 kg - okra/ladies finger
1 - onion
1 - tomato
1 tsp - mustard
1 tsp - cumin seeds
1 tbsp - besan flour
1 tbsp - red chilly powder
2 tbsp - coriander powder
1 tsp - garam masala powder
Turmeric powder, a pinch
Asafoetida, a pinch
Ginger, a small quantity
Garlic, a small quantity
Curry leaves, a small quantity
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
