Method
Heat oil, fry cardamom, karn phool and cinnamon lightly.
Allow to cool and powder.
Heat oil in a pan and fry red chillies.
Add onions and fry till golden brown.
Meanwhile boil tomatoes in 2 cups of water.
When it boils, discard the water, cool the tomatoes and peel off.
Now add chopped capsicum and fry, then add salt.
Cool and grind it into a paste.
Grind boiled tomotoes separately.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds (optional), curry leaves, onion capsicum paste.
After 5 minutes add ground tomato.
Add ground spices and a pinch of sugar and cook for five more minutes.
Very delicious with puris, dosas and rotis.
