Capsicum and onion vadai

Method
  1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add onion and capsicum.
  2. Fry till vegetables are tender.
  3. In a bowl, mix besan, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin and coriander powders, peanut powder and salt.
  4. Add this dry mix to the pan and cook till the raw smell has disappeared.
  5. Allow to cool.
  6. In a bowl, mix cornflour, rava, salt and a pinch of turmeric and some water and prepare a batter.
  7. Make small balls of the capsicum onion mixture, dip in the batter prepared and fry till brown.
  8. Vadais are ready; serve with ketchup or pudina chutney.

1 capsicum (chopped)
1/2 onion (chopped)
1 tsp besan/gram flour
1 tsp peanut powder
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin and coriander powders
2 tsp cornflour
1 tsp rava
Water
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
