Fruity Oatmeal

Method
  1. In a medium saucepan bring water and salt to boiling.
  2. Stir in oats, peaches or apple, raisins, and cinnamon.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 2 minutes.
  5. Divide oatmeal among 4 bowls.
  6. Pour 2 tablespoons milk over each serving.
Ingredients:
2 cups - water
1/4 tsp - salt
1 cup - oats
1 cup - chopped peeled pears or chopped apple
1/4 cup - dried cherries, raisins, or snipped dates
1/8 tsp - ground cinnamon
1/2 cup - skim milk
