Method
- Dry roast the broken wheat and pressure cook for 10 minutes with two cups of water.
- Add milk, powdered jaggery, diced dates and cook for at least one hr till it is reduced and thickened.
- Add powdered cashew nut powder and cardamom power and cook for five minutes more.
- Decorate with silver vark while serving.
- Enjoy this low calorie kheer.

broken wheat (dalia) - 1 cup
skimmed milk - 1 litre
dates - 1/2kg
jaggery - 100 g
powdered cashew nuts - 1/4 cup
silver vark for decoration
