Method
  1. Dry roast the broken wheat and pressure cook for 10 minutes with two cups of water.
  2. Add milk, powdered jaggery, diced dates and cook for at least one hr till it is reduced and thickened.
  3. Add powdered cashew nut powder and cardamom power and cook for five minutes more.
  4. Decorate with silver vark while serving.
  5. Enjoy this low calorie kheer.
Ingredients:
broken wheat (dalia) - 1 cup
skimmed milk - 1 litre
dates - 1/2kg
jaggery - 100 g
powdered cashew nuts - 1/4 cup
silver vark for decoration
powdered green cardamom - 1 tsp
