Mushroom Masala

Method
  1. Heat oil and butter.
  2. Fry the onions to pink and add the spices, chilli & garlic.
  3. Fry for a minute and add the tomato paste and salt. Fry well for 2 minutes and then add the mushroom, tomatoes and peas and masala.
  4. Add a little water and cover.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes and serve hot with rotis or rice.

Ingredients:
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato paste
2 chopped garlic cloves
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 small onion - chopped
1 small green chilli - chopped
salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala or any basic curry powder
1/2 cup frozen peas
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp olive oil
