Method
- Add sugar to warmed milk.
- Sprinkle yeast over it, cover and keep aside.
- Mix flour and salt, and rub in butter to blend well.
- When yeast mixture has becomes frothy, add to flour.
- Mix flour and knead to a smooth soft pliable dough.
- Keep covered till required for use, or keep for 30 minutes.
- Take a pingpong sized lump of dough, roll into a thick naan or roti.
- Deep fry in hot oil, till puffed and light golden and soft.
- Serve hot with other delicacies including curries, gravies, rices.
Making time: 45 minutes (except proving time)
Makes: 4-5 khameeri rotis.
