Palak rice

Method
  1. Wash and soak basmati rice for 1/2 an hour.
  2. Heat oil in a cooker, heat oil and fry cinnamon, cloves and shahi jeera.
  3. After they splutter, add green chillies and onion, fry till golden brown.
  4. Now add spinach and stir for 2 mins.
  5. Then add sufficient water and rice and pressure cook up to 2 whistles.
Ingredients:
1 bunch spinach, washed and chopped
2 onions, sliced
1/4 tsp garlic-ginger paste
1 tsp - fennel/shahi jeera
2-3 - cinnamon sticks
2 tbsp - garam masala powder
4-5 - cloves
2-3 - green chillies, slit
1&1/2 cups - basmati rice
2 tbsp - oil
