Method
  1. Apply a little ghee to the inner surface of a vessel with a thick bottom. Boil the milk in it.
  2. Wash the rice and apply a little ghee to the rice so that the grains do not stick to each other. Put in the boiling milk.
  3. Continue boiling the milk on a low flame, stirring in between.
  4. When the rice in the milk is fully cooked, add sugar.
  5. Boil the doodh pak till required sweetness is attained.
  6. Add saffron paste, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and slices of almond and pistachio.
  7. Serve hot or chilled.
Ingredients:
1liter - milk
1 tbsp - basmati rice
� cup - sugar
few strands - saffron
� tsp - cardamom powder
1/8 tsp - nutmeg powder
few slices - almond and pistachio
