Method
- Apply a little ghee to the inner surface of a vessel with a thick bottom. Boil the milk in it.
- Wash the rice and apply a little ghee to the rice so that the grains do not stick to each other. Put in the boiling milk.
- Continue boiling the milk on a low flame, stirring in between.
- When the rice in the milk is fully cooked, add sugar.
- Boil the doodh pak till required sweetness is attained.
- Add saffron paste, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and slices of almond and pistachio.
- Serve hot or chilled.

1liter - milk
1 tbsp - basmati rice
� cup - sugar
few strands - saffron
� tsp - cardamom powder
1/8 tsp - nutmeg powder
few slices - almond and pistachio
