Minapa Rotti

Method
  1. Soak Urad Dal and Rice Rawa separately for 2-3 hrs.
  2. Grind Urad Dal adding water and bring it to a paste.
  3. The batter should be in the same consistency as in Idly
  4. Remove water from soaked Rice Rawa and add it to the batter.
  5. Add Cumin Seeds and salt. Mix everything well
  6. Take 2 spoons of oil in a pan and put 2-3 serving spoons of the mixture in the pan and close it with the lid.
  7. Cook it for 4-5 mins in a slow flame and turn it to the other side.
  8. Remove it from the pan when both the sides become golden brown and not stcking to the hand.
  9. This Minapa Rotti will be crispy from outer side and soft (like Idly from inside).
  10. Serve it with any chutney or Idly mulagapodi

1 cup - urad dal
2 cups - rice rawa
1 tbspoon - cumin seeds (jeeragam)
1 cup - oil
salt to taste
