Method
- Cube the boiled potatoes into bite-sized pieces and keep them in a bowl.
- Dry roast the cumin seeds in a pan.
- Finely chop the small variety of onions or sambar onions.
- Add the finely chopped onions, green chilly, roasted cumin seeds to the potatoes
- Add red chilli powder, black salt and yogurt and give it all a good toss in the bowl.
- Garnish with chopped coriander/cilantro leaves and sev.
- Tastes best with peas pulao or any flavored rice.
Note: you may use regular onions, but the small variety of onions gives it a distinct flavor and crunch.

1 small variety onions (sambar onions)
A pinch of red chilli powder
Black salt to taste
Few springs of cilantro, finely chopped
Sev for garnishing (optional)
1 cup yogurt
