  1. Cube the boiled potatoes into bite-sized pieces and keep them in a bowl.
  2. Dry roast the cumin seeds in a pan.
  3. Finely chop the small variety of onions or sambar onions.
  4. Add the finely chopped onions, green chilly, roasted cumin seeds to the potatoes
  5. Add red chilli powder, black salt and yogurt and give it all a good toss in the bowl.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander/cilantro leaves and sev.
  7. Tastes best with peas pulao or any flavored rice.

Note: you may use regular onions, but the small variety of onions gives it a distinct flavor and crunch.

Few springs of cilantro, finely chopped
Sev for garnishing (optional)
