Cut and boil the greens in water till they are cooked.
Grind the greens in a mixie with the green chillies and a little water till they are totally liquified. If you are using curd, add the curd to the greens before grinding.
Pour out the liquid from the mixie into a vessel. If you are using buttermilk, add it now.
Add salt to taste.
In a small pan, heat oil. Add cummin seeds and wait for a few minutes till they get roasted.
Add red chilli powder to the oil, if you prefer.
Pour the contents of the pan into the vessel.
