Method
- Soak rice and dal for 2/3 hours.
- Grate the bottle gourd.
- First grind bottle gourd, then add soaked rice, dal, red chilli, salt, large cumin seeds, garlic and grind coarsely.
- Season with mustard seeds, urad dal, asafoetida, curry leaves, onion.
- Add to the batter.
- This can be made into dosa-like 'adais', no fermentation is required.
- Pour out a ladleful and spread out like dosas.
- Serve with sambar and chutney.
