To make the batter:
Mix the rava, chopped onions and finely cut green chillies with buttermilk and little water to make it a bit fluid same as if you are making batter for Uttapam or tomato omelette. Remove all lumps.
Add water or little buttermilk if mixture is not fluid and mix well.
To make omelettes:
Heat pan on medium heat and pour 1/2 teaspoon of oil into it. Spread it evenly.
Just before pouring batter on pan, add little soda to 1/2 cup of batter in separate vessel and mix well.
Make sure that the pan is nicely heated.
Now pour batter from the other vessel with the help of cup / ladle (like dosas) onto the pan.
Cover with lid and cook on low flame for about 5 mins.
Flip the omelette over once you will notice that edges of rava omelette are becoming brown and crispy. Pour 1/2 teaspoon oil from sides if required. And it is done!!!!
This dish can be prepared instantly. No need of any initial preparation.
