Method

  1. Soak Moongdal for 2 to 3 hours

  2. Cut Ridge gourd like chips after removing the skin but very little.

  3. Grind soaked moong dal, when half done add ridge gourd pieces, green chillies, jeera.

  4. Grind all but let the ridge gourd be little pieces, add salt.

  5. Take tawa heat it and spread little oil and spread the batter on the tawa evenly with spoon or with hand, pour little oil at the ends of dosa.

  6. When done lift and reverse allow it to roast on both sides.

Your attu is ready to eat.

Suggestions

This goes like snack with ginger chutney or with rice as side dish. You can even fry the thick batter like bajjis. For that put the batter like round balls in hot oil and fry. This also tastes good. But for health conscious people dosa is very good and you can add more ridge gourd and less moong dal too. You can try with other vegetables like yam (kanda in Telugu) etc. Try with other vegetables which you think will be good and let me know. Have great time.
