Talipettu Roti (Rice Flour Roti)

Method

  1. Mix all the Ingredients with warm water (It should be softer than the chapati dough)

  2. Grease the pan and your palm very well. Take a ball of dough and pat it into a roti on the pan.

  3. Place the pan on the stove or heater and cook well on both sides turning the roti once.

  4. Spread a tsp. butter on hot roti and serve it with coconut chutney or sauce.

Note:
You may use 2 pans alternatively OR cool the back of the pan by holding it under the running water to pat the second roti.

Ingredients:
2 cups Rice flour
1 small onion (finely chopped)
4 tbs. grated coconut or coconut powder
3-4 green chillies (finely chopped)
1 tsp. cumin seeds
1 tbs. coriander leaves (chopped)
1 tsp. lemon juice
3 -4 tbs. of cooked rice (mashed)
(Add any ONE of the following)
1 cup of fresh or dry fenugreek leaves OR 1 cup of grated carrots OR 1 cup of boiled(whole) lentils OR boiled Beans OR 2 medium size Onions finely chopped

Salt as required
