Method
- Wash and take out the seeds from the bell peppers.
- Then slice them into rings. Keep aside.
- In a bowl, mix besan with rice flour, chilli powder, soda, salt and make into a thick batter using the sour buttermilk.
- Just plain water also can be used instead of buttermilk to make the batter.
- In a deep-bottomed pan heat the oil.
- When the oil is hot, dip the bell pepper rings in the batter prepared above and carefully drop in the hot oil.
- When they turn golden brown in color, take them out of the oil and spread on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Repeat the same process with rest of the rings.
- These rings taste so crunchy when they are hot and become a little soft when cold.
- But the taste is so yummy either hot or cold.
- Enjoy these bell pepper rings with tea.
