Bell pepper rings

Method
  1. Wash and take out the seeds from the bell peppers.
  2. Then slice them into rings. Keep aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix besan with rice flour, chilli powder, soda, salt and make into a thick batter using the sour buttermilk.
  4. Just plain water also can be used instead of buttermilk to make the batter.
  5. In a deep-bottomed pan heat the oil.
  6. When the oil is hot, dip the bell pepper rings in the batter prepared above and carefully drop in the hot oil.
  7. When they turn golden brown in color, take them out of the oil and spread on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  8. Repeat the same process with rest of the rings.
  9. These rings taste so crunchy when they are hot and become a little soft when cold.
  10. But the taste is so yummy either hot or cold.
  11. Enjoy these bell pepper rings with tea.

Ingredients:
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 cup chickpea/besan flour
1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
A pinch of baking soda
Sour buttermilk to make batter
Salt as required
Oil to deep fry
