Method
  1. Wash and soak in water for 5 hours.
  2. Drain the water and grind to a paste alongwith chillies.
  3. Mix in the rest of the above ingredients.
  4. Heat enough oil and deep fry to smoking lower heat and drop the paste with the help of a teaspoon in the oil and deep fry to a golden brown colour.
  5. Drain nicely and serve hot with chutney of your choice.
Ingredients:
250 g - urad
2 - green chillies
6 - coarsely pounded peppercorns
1" piece - ginger
a few curry leaves, sliced
salt according to taste
