Dal vada mangalore style

Method
  1. Soak chana dal and urad dal separately for 1/2 an hour.
  2. Set aside a fistful of soaked urad dal and 2 tsp of channa dal.
  3. Rest of the lentils to be ground together coarsely.
  4. No water should be added while grinding.
  5. Add finely cut green chillies, fennel and coriander leaves and salt.
  6. Add the lentils which were kept aside.
  7. Take a lemon-sized dough, flatten with wet hands.
  8. Drop these balls into hot oil and fry till it is golden brown.

2 cups - channa dal
1/2 cup - urad dal
1/2 tsp - fennel
A handful - finely chopped coconut
10 - green chillies
Corinder leaves, finely cut
Salt
