Method
- Soak chana dal and urad dal separately for 1/2 an hour.
- Set aside a fistful of soaked urad dal and 2 tsp of channa dal.
- Rest of the lentils to be ground together coarsely.
- No water should be added while grinding.
- Add finely cut green chillies, fennel and coriander leaves and salt.
- Add the lentils which were kept aside.
- Take a lemon-sized dough, flatten with wet hands.
- Drop these balls into hot oil and fry till it is golden brown.
