Mix all the ingredients for the batter in a bowl with water to make a fine paste. Make sure the paste isn’t too watery but not too thick either. It would help to add the water little by little so that you get the right consistency.
Add the chopped onions, mint leaves, green chillies, and peanuts to the batter and mix well.
Heat enough oil in a kadai for deep frying.
Take a small handful of the batter, enough to make a ball and slip it into the oil.
Repeat till the batter with all the other ingredients are finished.
Ingredients: 1 - medium-sized onion (finely chopped)
1 - bunch pudina/mint leaves (finely chopped, make sure there are no stalks)
4-5 - green chillies finely chopped into tiny pieces
A handful of dry peanuts
A pinch of chaat masala (optional)
For the batter:
Two cups of Besan/Gram flour
1 tsp chilly powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
One cup water
Salt to taste
