Organic Chickpeas in Carrot Juice

Method
  1. Soak the chickpeas in water overnight and then boil in salted water or pressure cook till the chickpeas are soft but not overcooked.
  2. Drain and keep aside.
  3. Heat the oil and place the boiled chickpeas in the oil.
  4. Add all the masalas and stir gently so that the spices mix well with the chickpeas.
  5. Add the carrot juice and the tomato paste and ginger-garlic paste and bring to boil.
  6. Lower the heat and cover with the lid. Cook till all the juices have evaporated and the preparation is dry.
  7. Garnish with grated carrots.
Ingredients:
Organic small sized chickpeas - 2 cups
Carrot juice - 4 cups
Tomato paste - 1 cup
Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsp
Oil - 3 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Roasted jeera powder - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 3 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Amchur powder - 1/2 tsp
Fennel, saunf powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

For garnishing:
Grated carrots - 2 tsp
