  • Steam the maida flour in cooker for 2 whistles or in micro wave for 8mins without adding water with the flour.
  • Mixurad dalpowder, steamed maida flour, butter, salt,asafoetida powder, sesame seeds and make a dough out of this by adding small quantity of water
  • Keep the dough aside for 20-30 mins.
  • Fill the mullu murruku (chakli) press with the dough.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and when the oil is hot, press the dough onto the oil.
  • Cook to a light golden color or until the hissing sound ceases.
  • Remove and drain it on a kitchen paper towel.
  • Store it in a dry airtight container

  • Ingredients:
    4 cups ofMaida or all purposeflour
    1 cupof Urad dal(friedwithout oil)
    1 spoon sesame seeds or cumin seeds
    Asafoetida powder little
    Butter 1 spoon
    Salt to taste
    Oil for frying
