Method
- Wash rice and dal nicely and dry it thoroughly on a piece of cloth.
- Grind in a mixer to a very fine powder.
- Knead into a soft dough using butter, salt, l.g powder and water.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and press chaklis into hot oil and fry till golden brown.
- Remove on a paper napkin and store in an airtight container.
- Serve as a tea time snack

raw rice - 4 cup
urad dal - 1 cup
butter - 3 tbsp
jeera - 2 tsp
white til - 1 tsp
l.g powder - 2 pinches
oil to fry
water to knead dough
salt to taste
