Method
  1. Take besan, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt, vegetables and add water to make a batter.
  2. Cut idlies into long strips (vertical).
  3. Heat oil and dip each idli strip into the batter and fry them till they are golden brown.
  4. Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato sauce.
Ingredients:
5 - left over idli
besan as required
1/2 cup - grated carrot
1 tsp - chilli powder
1 tsp - turmeric powder
1 tsp - garam masala
2 tbsp - grated cabbage
salt as required
oil for frying
