Grind the channa dal with chillies and salt coarsely without adding water.
Mix all the other items with the ground dal.
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan.
Take small ball of the dal and flattened it. Put it in the oil.
Add 4 or 5 at a time. Fry it until golden brown.
Serve it hot with chutney
Method for Mint chutney:
Grind all the above items to a paste. Add little water if you want.
It is a good combination with all the fried items.
Ingrediens for Mint chutney:
Mint (pudhina) leaves -1 cup
Coriander leaves -1 cup
Green chillies - 2
Tamarind - a small ball
Salt
