Method
  1. Wash and soak dal in water for 1 hour.
  2. Chop the greens finely.
  3. Drain the dal from water and grind to affine paste with salt, adding minimum amount of water. (the batter should be stiff)
  4. Add green chilies and greens to the batter.
  5. With moist hand, take a lump of batter and plce on apieces of plastic sheet.
  6. Flatten to adisc and make a hole in the center with your fore finger.
  7. Slip it into hot oi. Add few more wadas to oil and fry till golden brown.
  8. Use all the batter thus. Serve hot with dal chutney.

Ingredients:
black gram (urad dal) dal - � kg
amarantha leaves - 1 bunch
onion - 1 cup, minced
green chilies - 3 to 4, minced
salt to taste
