Rose Syrup

Method
  1. Mix the sugar and water in a heavy bottomed steel vesel.
  2. Keep it on gas.
  3. When the sugar dissolves add citric acid.
  4. Give it one or two boils.
  5. Remove from gas and cool completely (it should take 5 to 6 hours to cool).
  6. Strain the syrup.
  7. Add the colour and essence.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Pour the syrup in dry strelised bottles and refrigerate it.

To Serve:

  • Pour 3 -4 tbsp of the syrup in a tall glass and add sufficient water/ milk with some crushed ice.
  • Serve chilled.
Ingredients:
1 kg - sugar
40O ml - water
8 gms - citric acid
� to 1 tsp - red colour
� to 1 tsp - rose essence
